Top 5 Golf Courses in Dublin

by Stephen Keane, 10th November 2011

When people think of golf in Ireland, the mind wanders to classic destinations such as Royal County Down, Ballybunion Old Course, Royal Portrush or the Old Head of Kinsale. Destinations that are indelibly thought of as Ireland’s best golf courses. However, if you happen to be visiting the capital city for a short break or a business trip and a game of golf is on the agenda then look no further than this selection of what I believe are Dublin’s Best Five Golf Courses. It’s difficult to make the call on a top 5 list and of naturally many will have a differing perspective but if I was in bar in Dublin and someone asked me what is Dublin’s Top 5 Golf Courses, then this is what I’d tell them.

1) Portmarnock Golf Club

There’s a lot of contenders to the crown but simply for it’s heritage, views, it’s fairness and the challenge it poses, Portmarnock Golf Club for me is Dublin’s best golf course. Read more about Portmarnock Golf Club. Get Green Fees & Book Online Tee Times to Portmarnock
