Often overlooked as a world-class golfing destination, both England and Wales offer so much in terms of quality golf courses and your visit can be easily combined with a trip to take in the great golf courses of Ireland and Scotland.
One only has to look at the courses that feature on the Open Championship Rota to get an idea of the depth of golf course quality. Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Royal Liverpool and Royal St. Georges are all regular Open Championship venues, while the likes of Wentworth, Sunningdale and Celtic Manor in Wales, host to the 2010 Ryder Cup, are just some of the other venues that stand out.
