Types of Car to rent for a golf trip

For visitors arranging a golf trip/vacation within the US we generally advise you to rent a car. This is especially true for the first time visitor to somewhere such as Miami or South Carolina. It’s a great way to see a region and provides the flexibility to explore. This makes sense especially for small groups of people.

With a self-drive option in the US, if you’ve not driven there before, remember to drive on the right hand side. The American road system is well maintained and the inter-state system is excellent. Due to the geographical nature of the US, it’s a country more suited to big comfortable cars due to the long distances involved with the inter-state system. Fuel tends to be cheaper on average than what Europeans pay and fuel is measured by the gallon.
