Celebrate Florida’s grand golfing tradition at PGA National Resort & Spa, a mecca for players and fans alike since 1981. Home to the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) and the annual host of the Honda Classic, our celebrated Florida golf vacation destination has a distinguished history of tournament play – including the 25th Ryder Cup, the 69th PGA Championship, and nearly two decades of PGA Seniors’ Championships. South Florida golf courses include the following on site courses, only the Estate Course is 20 minutes off site:

The Champion
Originally designed by Tom Fazio for major tournament play, the Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1990. Although the Champion Course has generous landing areas and spacious and accepting greens, golfers are presented with course management challenges throughout their rounds. This South Florida golf resort course has five sets of teeing areas, so golfers can choose the yardage that best accommodates their playing abilities. This The Champion Golf Course has a distinguished place in Major Championship history. It was the site of the 1983 Ryder Cup Matches; the 1987 PGA Championship; the 1982-2000 PGA Seniors’ Championships; and the 1981, 1982, and 1994-2000 PGA Junior Championships. PGA National’s Champion Course is now home to the PGA TOUR’s Honda Classic.

The Championship Course is dedicated to Jack Nicklaus, in honor of a man whose commitment to golf has been an inspiration to the game, and personifies the high standard of excellence we associate with the “Player of the Century.”
